Seijosa (also spelt Sijusa or Seijusa) is a small town on the Pakke river in Arunachal Pradesh’s Pakke-Kessang district, just north of the Assam border. It is a popular picnic spot, and people from the Assam side cross over to its weekly market.

Before you go

Permits: Seijosa is in Arunachal Pradesh, so Indian visitors from outside the state need an Inner Line Permit (ILP), even for a day trip. Visitors from the Biswanath side, including a local volunteer, say there’s often no permit check on the way, but the rule still applies. Apply online at arunachalilp.com. Foreign nationals need a Protected Area Permit instead.
