ourbiswanath.in is a volunteer-run community guide. We don’t sell anything, we don’t show ads, and we don’t sell your data or use it for ads. Here is what happens when you use the site.

When you visit

We use three tools to understand how many people visit, which pages are useful, and how fast the site loads:

• Google Analytics 4 counts page views and basic interactions, such as scrolling and clicks on outside links. It records your approximate location (city level), your device and browser, and how you found the site. It uses cookies to tell new visitors from returning ones. Google processes this data under the Google Privacy Policy. To opt out, use Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on or block cookies in your browser.
• Vercel Web Analytics counts visits without using cookies. See Vercel’s privacy notes.
• Vercel Speed Insights measures how quickly pages load on real devices, so we can keep the site fast on slow connections. See Vercel’s privacy notes.

The site’s fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser sends a request (including your IP address) to Google on each visit. See the Google Fonts privacy FAQ.

We only look at these numbers in aggregate. We don’t try to identify individual visitors.

When you send a suggestion

The suggestion form is delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms, a form-handling service. We receive what you type, plus your name and email only if you choose to give them. We use your email only to reply to you. We never publish names, emails or phone numbers.

Photos and links

Photos on this site are credited to their authors and come from Wikimedia Commons or from contributors who gave permission. Links to other websites (government portals, booking sites, maps) take you to services with their own privacy policies.
